About the Role
As an CI Manager, you will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Fonterra’s IWS framework at our Bayswater site. This role is pivotal in embedding world-class manufacturing practices, driving cultural change, and fostering a mindset of operational excellence & loss focus across the site. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development, implementation, and sustainability of the Integrated Work System (IWS) across the site
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, implementing best practices, and fostering operational excellence & loss focus
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams on capital projects, ensuring alignment with IWS principles
- Coaching and training staff in Lean, Continuous Improvement, Reliability and IWS methodologies & tools
- Leading initiatives to optimise efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational performance
- Partnering with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve challenges and implement solutions
About You
We’re looking for a proactive leader with strong experience in process improvement and operational excellence, ideally within a food or packaging environment. Your ability to influence, coach, and lead cultural change will be key to success. You will bring:
- Experience in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and experience with IWS or similar systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results within tight timelines
- Technically minded with strong problem-solving skills and understanding of manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in data analysis and using tools such as Excel for performance tracking
